The Story
Behind Kapwa
 

Before Kapwa, Matthew owned and operated a restaurant. The food was good. Customers were happy. Revenue was growing. But he had no idea what was actually happening with his money. Invoices went out late. Sales tax deadlines came and went. QuickBooks did not match his bank statements. He did not even know what a POS reconciliation was. Matthew was a restaurant owner, not an accountant. But he was trying to do both jobs, and he was failing at the second one.

On top of the financial chaos, he had to manage payroll, hiring, and firing employees. Too many hats. Too many late nights. Too much stress.

Matthew reached out to Christine Reyes for help. Christine is an accountant and a CFO. She looked at his books and did not laugh, but she probably wanted to. Together, they spent many late nights reconciling accounts, cleaning up past mistakes, and building a system that actually worked.

As they worked together, they realized something. Matthew was not the only one struggling. They asked family and friends if their businesses had the same problem. Almost all of them said yes. Their books were a mess. Their admin was chaotic. They were wearing too many hats and losing sleep over it.

That was their starting point. They built a system. Then they built a team. Then they started helping other business owners who were exactly where Matthew used to be.

Today, Kapwa Services handles financial operations and back office support for growing businesses. The team keeps the books clean, follows up on invoices, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. 

Matthew and Christine started this company because they needed help and could not find it. Now they are the help they wish they had.
